Dear Gary and girls, i was hoping to go with dad the other night to the service but got held up at work. dad called to fill me in on his way back up north. he said the girls are beautiful and well raised. you know you 3 were the light of Roy's eyes.he was so proud of you, Gary, and the girls. even in your wilder days he was always your one true fan. then the girls came along and his heart was ever so fond. Roy was truly a remarkable man with a heart of gold. Many a kid at KHS will always remember his smile. he gave back to the community and the community will always remember him. miss you guys love kris(bruckert)drewry

Besides being an excellent agricultural instructor, Roy was always a very supportive staff member. He made the rest of us feel better about ourselves with his jovial, fun-loving style. The community and school district of Kewaskum were forever blessed when this farm boy returned to his hometown area. He served with great dedication, effort and humor. The school district of Kewaskum is unlikely to experience the likeness of Roy Esser ever again. I for one am grateful for having the opportunity to know Mr. Esser as a teacher, administrator, colleague, friend and beneficiary of his loud, joyful personality.
