We offer bereavement services for the families we serve. In addition, we have provided some helpful grief support links below.

 

In addition to help from websites, there are also local grief sharing groups that may benefit you and your family during this hard time. Please see the dates and locations listed below:

For Suicide Related Loss Support


National Alliance on Mental Illness, better known as NAMI Washington County chapter offers support groups for survivors of suicide loss. Registration is required by calling (262) 339-1035.

Hope Connections for Adults Group: First and Third Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm until 8:00pm.

Hope Connections for Teens Group: Second and Fourth Tuesday of each month from 4:45pm until 6:00pm.

Each group is held at NAMI Washington County (279 S. 17th Avenue, Suite 7, West Bend). For more information, feel free to stop by Myrhum-Patten West Bend or NAMI Washington County.

Grief Information


Webhealing.com, the first interactive grief website on the internet, offers discussion boards, articles, book suggestions, and advice for men and women working through every aspect of grief. The site’s founder, Tom Golden LCSW, has provided book excerpts and contact information to help those healing from loss.

The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) website contains a Grief & Loss section with grief-related articles and information.

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s website provides a host of information and resources for people facing a life-limiting illness or injury and their caregivers.
