Dear Oiwoni family,
It may sound strange, but I knew Tom in grade school in Cedarburg, and moved away 60 years ago. I am looking for old friends and Tom has always stood out in my mind as someone special. We made our first communion as partners and shared a humorous incident on our way from the school to the church. It involved a bird's dropping on Tom's shoulder and white shirt. We had a good laugh over it.
I am so sorry for your loss and wish I had attempted to contact Tom earlier.

Sorry I have not responded earlier but recently returned from South Dakota. I extend to Diane and the now adult Piwoni family( grade schoolers in the 90's during my stay in Kewaskum) my sympathy, promise of prayer, and I share the same good memories of Tom as a loyal parishioner of HT. Oh Diane, we were so sad to hear of Tom's passing at such a young age. You have our most sincere condolences. I am sorry we cannot make the visitation service due to a prior conflict but our hearts are with you and your family at this very difficult time. You will be in our prayers.

I was heart-broken to hear of the death of your dear spouse and father. His work on earth must have been finished for God called him at so young an age.I am very sorry I will not be able to be with you on Sunday to celebrate his life because of previous commitments. I remember the family well- you ,Diane and Amy, Luke, and Chad -my A .+ students in school. My deepest sympathy to you and be assured of my prayers.

So sorry for your loss Tom was a good and funny man. I got to know him more personally when he dropped dies off at Serigraph for Gruber Tool and Die. Great man will always be remembered.
