Dear Janice, Scott, Lisa, and all of your families. It is of Great Sadness that we send this message. With Penny and Don, we were blessed with the most wonderful cousins anyone could ever have. Penny and I have been Genealogy partners since 1997 and what a wealth of information we have gathered on our ancestors. Carroll and Don were good golfing buddies. While Penny and I spent hours in other states searching for Genealogy information they were searching for a little white ball. We learned a wealth of history while the husbands would never admit how many balls they had lost. I could write a book about the fun time we had with Don and Penny and all of the thing we have done together. I will always remember Penny first trip to visit the Kansas Family Homestead. She was so frustrated with me for taking them into the wilderness. She kept telling Don to stop. This is not a road because this is just two tire tracks in the grass and I kept telling him to keep going on, it is just a little further. She informed me that all country roads in Wisconsin were paved but in Kansas, they were not even paths. She loved coming back many time and visiting the family homes but she never did learn to like our roads. We are so sorry that we cannot be with you tomorrow; it is just too many miles. We will be here with you when she is laid to rest in Blue Rapids. We are so proud of the family that Don and Penny raised and we pray we can all keep in touch. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Love Carroll and Dee Peppersack

Even though I never had the pleasure of meeting Penny, I have known her daughter, Janice Sabin de Medina very well for 25 years. The measure of parenting is so often reflected from those who have benefited from wonderful parenting. That reflection shines brightly when coming from Janice. So often she spoke lovingly about her mother, Penny Sabin, well before Penny's illness, and Janice's own parenting positively carries on from Penny's loving qualities. My sincere sympathies go to her children and grandchildren.
