Oh, JoAnn. Thank you for your kind words about Mom and for letting me know about your brother. I admired his work with the history of this area as it must be kept alive. I love the obituary and the last three lines will stay with me forever... “There is so much one can enjoy in life that has no cost but is priceless. It is seeing and enjoying God’s world that I have found. Many before me have walked this land and found that peace.” You have our deepest sympathy, my friend.

We are so sorry to hear of Don's passing, and unfortunately did not know about it until the day after the funeral. We would have loved to come to pay our respects and celebrate his life. Don did so much good work in the community, and leaves a lovely legacy of a life well spent in helping others. He was also supportive of our work with Native Americans. We are grateful to have known him and we will note his absence, especially in association with the RRAS. We always think of him at the Nitschke Mounds anyway. Condolences to the family.

Pearl and family I wish to express my deepest sympathies on your loss of Don. I watched the memory video and although I didn't know Don very well it appears he was a great husband and father and had a pretty full life. We now trust in our faith and God that he is in a better place and that you will all reunite eventually. God be with you all as you adjust to life without him.

Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. We so enjoyed visiting with Don at Playful Goose and hearing some of what he has learned. He had such passion in sharing his knowledge and we will miss visiting with him.
