Alexis M. Soba

Alexis Michael Soba, age 13, became our guardian angel on June 14, 2016 following a four year courageous cancer journey.  Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family.

Alexis’s life would seem short to many, but the quality of her life existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which she lived.

With Alexis’s passing we remind others that this life is one to be celebrated.  Alexis loved her family, friends, and life.  She enjoyed dancing, singing, laughing, music, shopping, fashion, candy, swimming, and so much more. 

We were blessed having such a wonderful, loving, and caring daughter with a spunky spirit.  She will forever remain in our hearts and she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Alexis is survived by her loving parents, Joseph and Heidi (nee Suchowski) Soba of Mayville; her sister, Olivia Soba of Mayville; her paternal grandparents, John and Molly (nee Meenan) Soba of Hubertus; her maternal grandparents, Ron and Cindy (nee Kubisiak) Suchowski of Stevens Point; and many other close relatives and friends.

A celebration of Alexis’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Mayville Park Pavilion in Mayville from 4:00 pm until 8 pm with a memorial service at 8:00 pm. 

A second celebration of Alexis’s life will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Bukolt Park Lodge in Stevens Point from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a memorial service at 7:00 pm.

In honor of Alexis’s bright and bold personality, everyone is invited to wear bright colors and simply come, be comfortable, and be comforted.

In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Alexis’s honor to either Make-A-Wish Foundation or to the Ronald McDonald House.

The family would like to thank the wonderful community of Mayville for always supporting Alexis and her family.
