Webster "Web" Hron, 88 of West Bend, died on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Cedar Community, West Bend, with his family by his side.

Web was born on February 13, 1927 to the late George and Edna (nee Fromm) Hron in West Bend. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1945. The day after graduation, Web enlisted in the US Army Air Corp. He served honorably during World War II. He was stationed on Ascension Island in the South Atlantic and was a weather observer and Radiosonde operator. Web was the first American to set foot on Devil's Island, French Guiana. He was honorably discharged in 1948. After the service, Web attended Lawrence University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. On September 26, 1954 Web was united in marriage to Cheri Pfeiffer in Hanska, MN. They lived in West Bend, where Web went to work at Barton Products with his brother, Sylvester Hron. Later, Web and his brother started Mallard Coach. Web traveled throughout the United States setting up dealerships. After leaving Mallard Coach, Web worked for Mies Products where he was instrumental in expanding their business. Web was honest, ethical, and a wonderful mentor. He was a loyal and faithful friend to all who knew him. Web loved hunting, camping, and being outdoors. He enjoyed traveling and taking trips in his Minnie Winnie. Web loved to tell stories with his own brand of humor. Web had a strong Christian faith and was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, West Bend. Web was a generous and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed typing letters to his grandchildren. Web will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Cheri: three children, Robin (Joseph), Pfotenhauer, Diane (Van) Hron, and Shelley (Tim) Stevenson; seven grandchildren, Christian (Anne) Buesing, Gregory Pfotenhauer, Kirsten Pfotenhauer, Rachel Pfotenhauer, Benjamin Wadsworth, Alex Stevenson, and Noah Stevenson, four great-grandchildren, Grayson Buesing, Emmeline Buesing, Samantha Buesing, and William Buesing; two sisters in law, Gladys Hron and Carol Pfeiffer; brother in law, Ron Pfeiffer, and other relatives and friends.

Web was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Steven and Joseph Hron; two grandsons, Samuel and Nicholas Stevenson; and four brothers, Edwin, William, Sylvester, and Raymond Hron.

A Memorial service in remembrance of Web will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00am at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 809 S. 6th Ave., West Bend. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30am until the time of service. A private Inurnment of his cremated remains will be held at a later time.
