I never met Troy in person, like many on here I knew him through the BZFlag online community. I spent nearly a year in the hospital then rehab due to medical issues and BZFlag was a great comfort at that time. My prayers go out to Troy and his family and I hope that you feel comfort in knowing he had friends around the world. God Bless!

I'll stick with the alias Frank the Tank as that is how Troy knew us. We in our little community of internet gaming addicts were all the richer for having Troy. First met Troy many years ago, he was in the Team called 'Spirit'. I reside in New Zealand a completely different timezone to the main stream players. Yep, your Dad is famous all around the world. We always knew when Troy had been doing Bar shift either working or having a few, he would join in the fun before no doubt getting into trouble with his other half for being up too late. And of course we would learn how well or otherwise his beloved Packers were doing. Troy is a living memory of fun times and joy. Cheers Frank the Tank

I never met Troy in person, still, he made a great impression on me as a member of our online game community. I talked to Troy online hundreds of times, we shared many hours of fun online with our little game and always enjoyed playing and chatting with him. He was a very respected and admired player, loved by all. He never had a bad attitude no matter if his team lost or won. I think this may show his attitude in real life. I wish I had a chance to meet him in person, no doubt we might have become good friends in real life. He will be remembered in our game community as a fair, friendly, and good person.
