Shirley Faye Pottruff

Shirley Faye Pottruff (nee Dawson), age 84 years, of Ashford, WI passed away peacefully with family beside her on the morning of December 24, 2021.

Shirley was born on November 14, 1937 in Arkansas to Crystal Elaine (nee Patterson) and Huey LaNovice Franklin Dawson.

Shirley attended school in Senath, MO. She later worked at Gateway Nursing Home and became an Emergency Room Technician at Hartford Memorial Hospital, both in Hartford, WI.

Throughout her life Shirley enjoyed such activities as crocheting, jewelry making, sharing the Good News of her Faith with all that she met, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory include her children, Deborah F. Luckiesh, and Stanley W. Pottruff; grandchildren, Noah Luckiesh (Becky), Nicolaus Luckiesh (Riggi), Tiara Luckiesh, Makaiya Pottruff; great-grandchildren, Bella, Greyson, Evelyn, Addi; siblings, Harvey, Lanny, Tammy, Alfred.

 She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by Walter Pottruff; children, Robert Pottruff, Rodger Pottruff; siblings, Everett, J.C., and Ruth.  

A Memorial Service for Shirley was at 2 pm on January 2, 2022. Due to the current Covid pandemic the service was held via ZOOM.

Shirley’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Fond du Lac Dialysis Center for the loving care they provided.
