Sherrilyn Hannon

Sherrilyn Hannon, 65, of West Allis, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Sherrilyn was born on June 29, 1957, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Florian and Valerie (nee Janovec) Plachinski. On October 9, 1982, she was united in marriage to James Hannon, Sr. at Luther Memorial Chapel in Milwaukee. Sherrilyn attended Bayview High School, and subsequently went on to Milwaukee Area Technical College to obtain her degree in Computer Programming – later working her way up within WE Energies.

Outside of work, Sherrilyn loved scroll sawing, sewing, fishing, and spending time with her pets, children, and grandchildren. Sherrilyn was an avid collector of cookie jars and anything to do with Tweety Bird. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Those Sherrilyn leaves behind to cherish her memory include two children, James Hannon, Jr. and Angie (David) Stack; two grandchildren, Jamie and Richard; four brothers, Flori Plachinski, Larry Plachinski, Richard (Sandy) Plachinski, and Randy (Debbie) Plachinski; other relatives and friends.

Sherrilyn was preceded in death by her husband, James Hannon, Sr.

VISITATION: Sherrilyn’s family will greet relatives and friends at Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
