Marjorie “Marge” E. Kobs, 96, of West Bend passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021 at The Cottages, West Bend.
She was born on August 5, 1924 to the late Harry and Anne (nee O’Brien) Batchelder in Brockton, MA. She moved to West Allis when she was a young girl. Marge graduated from Nathan Hale High School, where she was prom queen and also was a member of Job’s Daughters. She worked at Fine and Lando Clinic in Cudahy as an x-ray technician for many years until retirement. Marge enjoyed family vacations to Eagle River and Door County. She loved going shopping, sewing and playing cards in her card club. She loved holidays, especially Christmas with the family. Marge volunteered at Job’s Daughters, Bethel 19 for many years, while her daughter was a member. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and all her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Those Marjorie leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two children, William “Bill” (Karen) Kobs and Christine “Chris” Zvara and Mike Miller; three grandchildren, Kati (Gregg) Oettinger, Ryan (Amanda) Kobs, and Steven (Peter Cummings) Kobs; five great grandchildren, Alexis Oettinger and Paige Oettinger, Addison Kobs, Matthew Kobs, and Owen Kobs; a brother, Robert (Beverly) Batchelder; a sister-in-law, Nita Batchelder; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kobs; three brothers, Harry Batchelder, Byron “Bud” (Margaret Rose) Batchelder, and Gordon “Gordy” (Leatha) Batchelder; and a sister, Barbara (Henry) Simpson.
A private family service in remembrance of Marge will be held.
