Katie Good Obituary

Katie Lee Good (nee Drapp), age 37 years, of Mequon, formerly of New Berlin, went home to her Savior on Thursday, September 23, 2021 held closely by her family and surrounded by endless love.

Katie was born on June 23, 1984 in Milwaukee to Gary and Mary Beth (nee Durbahn) Drapp.  She was united in marriage to Jadon Good on June 11, 2011 at Red Line Art Gallery in Milwaukee. She was educated at Blessed Sacrament Elementary, Orchard Lane Elementary and New Berlin West High School, where she made several lifelong friends. In high school, Katie's favorite subject was art and she participated in band, drama, cross country, and tennis.

Katie was a proud Badger and graduated from UW-Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art, with a concentration in Graphic Design, and a second major in Communication Arts, with a concentration in Radio-Television-Film. She was very talented in art and design and, after graduation, joined the graphic design team at CI Design in downtown Milwaukee and truly loved working there for the past 15 years.

Katie loved to travel and made her way to England, China, Ireland, France, Africa, Italy, Mexico, Hawaii and, most recently, Germany. She also loved yearly vacations closer to home, especially Door County, Chicago and St. Germain. She had a strong faith in the Lord and attended Epikos Church and, most recently, Crossway Church. She was a long-time volunteer at Ronald McDonald House and highly enjoyed her time there, as well as the friends she made.

Katie was intelligent, kind, sweet, empathetic, artistic, creative, fun, adventurous and had a great sense of humor. She brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. She had many interests including interior design, movies, audio books, treasure hunting at rummages, coffee, a good old fashioned or glass of wine, art, exploring new places and attending events in the local area. More than anything, Katie cherished spending time with her family and friends and being a mother to her son Holden, who was absolutely her dream come true.

Katie is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Jadon Good; their 2-year-old son, Holden, who his mama treasured each moment with; her sweet dog, Maisy, her first baby; her parents, Gary and Mary Beth Drapp; her twin sister, Sara (Zach) Olson; and her 3-year-old niece, Autumn, who thought the world of her. She is further survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Katie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Floyd and Mary Ann Durbahn; her paternal grandparents, George and Dolores Drapp; and her mother-in-law, Sandra Kay Good (nee Sankey).

Katie was loved beyond measure. She is deeply missed and will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
