Francesca "Chee Chee" Schneider

Francesca “Chee Chee” Schneider (Balistrieri), 89, of Fredonia was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 20, 1933 to the late Antonio and Claira Balistrieri (LoCicero) in Milwaukee. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Milwaukee.  On September 17, 1955 she was united in marriage to Andrew “Andy” Schneider at St. Rita Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

Chee Chee and Andy enjoyed their retirement wintering in Leesburg, Florida for 25 years with friends.   Her interests included gardening, rummaging with her friend Judy. In retirement, quilting became her passion. She was active in Christian Mothers, and PTA when her children were little.  For a short time Chee Chee thought she was clown (enrolled in Clown School) and would visit nursing homes and walk in parades.

The most important thing to Chee Chee was her family, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was also known for her incredible food and hosting friends and family.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  

Those Chee Chee leaves behind to cherish her memory include her four children, Teri (Donald) Treichel, Andrew Schneider, Anthony (Mary) Schneider, and Thomas (Kathy) Schneider; ten grandchildren, Sara Hawe, Carley (Lee) Hallenberg, Sam (Liza) Treichel, Hannah (Nathaniel) Rotes, Maria (Mike) Thomas, Josephine Schneider, Anthony (Casey) Schneider, Veronica “Roni” Schneider, Joseph Schneider, and Samantha (Brandon Mueller) Schneider; eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Barbara (Paul) O’Malley, Vicki (David) Sacco, and Sue Schneider; a brother-in-law, Wally (Mary) Schneider; special friends, Phyllis Stemper and Judy Benson; and childhood friend, Josie Murphy; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Andy; three brothers, Thomas (Jeri), Salvatore, and Felix Balistrieri; and brother-in-law, Tom Schneider.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, (1025 S 7th Ave. - West Bend, WI  53095) with Father Neil Zinthefer presiding.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with Rosary at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Chee Chee’s name can be directed to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission (830 N 19th St – Milwaukee, WI  53233.)

The family would like to thank the Waubeka Fire Department First Responders, as well as the nurses and staff at Froedtert Hospital in Jackson and the Horizon Hospice Home Care (especially Tammy and Kelly for their exceptional care of Mom).
