Donna L. Cooksey (nee Huddleston), 82, of West Bend passed away peacefully and reunited with the love of her life Ben on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

She was born on April 8, 1940, to the late Bert and Ellen (nee Osborne) Huddleston in Pritcher, Kansas. She grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Commerce High School. On August 24, 1958, she was united in marriage to Benjamin Franklin Cooksey III. Together they raised their three boys. Donna was a homemaker for many years, then enjoyed interior decorating and worked in retail sales until retirement. She was a member of the Airstream band. Donna enjoyed needlework and especially crocheting. She loved watching her westerns and word searches. She especially enjoyed spending time with all her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those Donna leaves behind to cherish her memory include her three children, David (Beverly) Cooksey, Douglas (Stacy Sagowitz) Cooksey, and Darren (Jennifer) Cooksey; six grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Cooksey, Jaclyn (Christopher) Zehring, Emily Cooksey, Benjamin (Hannah) Cooksey IV, Amanda (Corey Crumpton) Cooksey, and Darren Cooksey Jr., five great-grandchildren, Keira, Cole, Ryder, Gage, and Vada; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Cooksey III, and a step-brother, Howard (Mae).

A memorial service in remembrance of Donna will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.
