Obituary

William Steimle, age 65, was unexpectedly called home to the Heavens in the early morning hours of July 22nd, 2026.

Born on May 10th, 1961, in Wilmington, Delaware. William was the beloved son of Patricia Herbst.

Since 1985, William shared a deep and enduring love with his beautiful wife, Leanne Carson. Together, they built a family and were blessed with two children, Nichole (31) and Bryan (29).

Throughout his life, William dedicated himself to his craft as a finish carpenter, using his exceptional skills to create beautiful spaces for countless families. He took immense pride in his woodworking talents and could fix or build just about anything, a fact his family and friends often celebrated with the phrase, “If Dad can’t fix it, we’re all screwed.”

William’s passions extended beyond his work. He was an enthusiastic supporter of his home teams, especially the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Milwaukee Bucks, cheering them on with unwavering loyalty.

Music also filled William’s life with joy. While he appreciated all genres, his love for Elvis Presley was unparalleled.

William is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Leanne (56), his daughter, Nichole (CJ), and his son, Bryan (Lindsey). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ariella (9), Eliyanah (9), Ayvah (7), and Elyse (5); his bonus grandchildren, Aiden (13) and Alex (10); his siblings, Mike, Joanna, and Cathy; as well as other relatives, including nieces and nephews, and many close friends, all of whom will cherish his memory.

In addition to his mother, William was preceded in death by his brother Tim.

Family and friends are asked to join together to remember and celebrate William’s legacy. The family will host a Celebration of Life for William and will share those details at a later date.

Memorials in William’s honor can be directed to Leanne Carson.
