William “Bill” Jacob Kulas, age 78, of Kewaskum, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026. He was born on July 17, 1947, in Milwaukee to Peter and Ruth Kulas (nee Hauk).
Bill was united in marriage to Nancy Jean Kulas on December 13, 1969, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Together they shared 56 years of marriage, and they built a life centered on love, hard work, and family, creating countless memories along the way.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, spending six years in service, including combat duty during the Vietnam War. His pride in that service never faded, and his deep respect for the military was something he carried with him throughout his life. That sense of duty continued when he returned home, serving for seven years as a Wisconsin State Trooper.
In 1977, Bill and Nancy made Kewaskum their home where they became well known in the community as the owners and operators of the Glacier Inn Supper Club for 20 years. Together, they created a welcoming gathering place for friends, family, and the community. During those busy years, Bill also found time to further his education, earning his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University.
Bill continued serving others through his work at Mitchell International Airport as a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Behavior Detection Officer, remaining dedicated to public safety until the end of his career.
Outside of work, Bill found joy in spending time with his family and grandchildren, especially during the summer days together in the pool. He enjoyed taking his Corvette or motorcycle out for a drive, appreciating the freedom of the open road. Bill was also an avid sports fan, he enjoyed playing and watching golf and had a special love for Packers football. He also never lost his deep interest in military history.
Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy; his children, Scott (Ticia), and Craig (Sandra); and his adored grandchildren, Evangeline “Peanut”, Josephine “Jellybean” and Leola, who brought him so much happiness. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Ann, and his brother, Peter “Jerry”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Ruth Marie Kulas.
