Wendy S. Dempsey

Wendy S. Dempsey (nee Cook), age 70 years, of Grafton was called home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2020 at Magnolia Hill in Grafton.

Wendy was born on June 25, 1950 in Milwaukee to Donald and LaVerne Cook  (nee Meide).

Wendy graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee.  She worked for the Visiting Nurses Association in West Allis.  Wendy enjoyed searching for and collecting antiques, especially dolls.

Wendy is survived by her two daughters, Michialle Dick and Angie Thornton; two granddaughters, Sydney and Abbygayle Thornton; father, Donald Cook; four siblings, Allen (Chris) Cook, Cynthia (James) Mohns, Robert Cook, and Cheri (Larry) Poad.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wendy was preceded in death by her mother, LaVerne Cook, and sister-in-law, Becky Cook (nee Fochs).

A private family graveside service at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee to be held at a later date.

Wendy’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Magnolia Hill in Grafton and Heartland Hospice for the loving care they provided.
