Wayne E. Jessup, age 100, of West Bend, was called home to be with the Lord, on February 3, 2026. He grew up in Cudahy, Wisconsin, and graduated from Cudahy High School and Layton Art School, Milwaukee. He was a navy veteran of WWII and after discharge in May 1946, he worked as a commercial artist in Milwaukee and Serigraph in West Bend, retiring in 1989.
He married Janet Kaiser on June 12, 1954, at St. Frederick’s Catholic Church in Cudahy, a devout marriage of 71 years.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; four children - Kevin (Melinda) Jessup, Judy (Donald) Swetzig, David Jessup, and Mary (Robert) Ackerman; five grandchildren – Kyle Swetzig, Wendy (Vineet) Swetzig–Dhiman, Nicholas (Courtney) Missurelli, Ian (Amanda) Jessup, and Sean Jessup; three great-grandchildren – Karina Dhiman, Audrey Missurelli, and Aila Jessup, with a great-grandson on the way; a brother - James Jessup; and a sister - Sandy Kriefski; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wayne and Edna Jessup; three brothers - Donald Jessup, William Patrick Jessup, and John Jessup; and sister - Carol Hardenbrook.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church, 1610 Monroe Street, in West Bend, presided by Father Jacob Strand, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, February 12.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church or The Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
Our sorrow at Wayne’s passing is softened by the hope of his eternal happiness in Heaven.
