Thomas J. “Tom” Scharschmidt Sr., of Lomira, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira. Tom was born on February 20, 1943, in Fond du Lac, the son of the late Anthony Sr. and Margaret (nee Klingbyle) Scharschmidt. Tom was a self-employed worker as well as enjoyed farming.

Those Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory include his two sons, Thomas Jr. (Natalie) Scharschmidt of Lomira and Robert (Julie) Scharschmidt of Lomira; five grandchildren, Katelyn Bloch, Mark Scharschmidt, Mitch Scharschmidt, Sydney Scharschmidt, and Nick Scharschmidt; a great-granddaughter, Brynn Bloch; four step-children, Carrie Langwasser, Jodi Poulter, Rhonda Bowling, Amy (Tim) Gordon; a brother, Anthony Jr. (Verna) Scharschmidt; three sisters, Barbara Goodrich, Nancy Coppaway, and Kay (Henry) Case; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Terry Coppaway.

Private services were held.
