Thomas Paul Bonenfant slipped gently from this world on June 24th, 2026, called home to the Lord after a life marked by quiet joys and simple kindness.

Born August 26th, 1962, to Richard and Pamela (nee Mueller) Bonenfant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tom’s early years unfolded on a sunlit farm in New Fane. He fed chickens at dawn and rode his pony Flicka through green pastures. His mischievous spirit showed even as a boy, when he’d sneak his father’s Farm-All Tractor for a ride down the long, gravel drive, keeping his siblings smiling in amusement.

Tom loved his family very much. He was caring, especially to his nieces and nephews. Even when life was hard, Tom stayed positive and hopeful. He was a gentle presence to everyone around him.

He delighted in old films and TV, and found joy in cooking and gathering for a meal, especially his sister Mary’s German potato salad, and the comfort of Chinese takeout. Tom’s pride for his nephew Nathan, whose Air Force service he followed with a joyful heart, was boundless.

Simple, kind, and steadfast in love, these are the gifts Tom leaves, woven softly into the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his siblings: Robert (Gail) Bonenfant of West Bend, Mary (Dan) Scharrer of West Bend, James Bonenfant of West Bend; nieces and nephews; and his brother-in-law, Dean Schmidt of Campbellsport.

Preceded in death by his parents Richard and Pamala Bonenfant. His sister Laurie Schmidt, brothers, Rick and William (Bill) Bonenfant.
