Thomas L. "Tom" Bartelt

Thomas L. Bartelt (82) passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in West Bend. He was born on August 4, 1943, to Bill and Audrey (née Koch) Bartelt. Tom graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, and after graduation, he was employed by Home Mutual Insurance Company in Appleton, Wisconsin. In 1975, he joined his father at Bartelt Insurance Agency in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, where he remained for the next 39 years as a local, independent agent and business owner. 

He is survived by his wife, Lucy (Mitzie), and four children: Jacqueline (Kevin), Brad (Thresa), Ross (Anneka), and Erin (Jon). He is further survived by his sister, Peggy (Jeff), and grandchildren: Oscar, Sophia, Emilia, Ethan, Garrett, Neil, Brent, Rachel, Morgan, and Liam. He is preceded in death by his parents. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Preceptor Hospice for their compassion and care.
