Therese M. Weickert, nee Schroeder, 50, of West Bend, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend.
She was born on September 21, 1962 in Milwaukee to John and Mary (nee Holzbauer) Schroeder. She graduated from Nicolet High School where she met her future husband. On July 21, 1984 she was united in marriage to David Weickert at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Whitefish Bay.
Therese enjoyed camping, gardening, flea marketing, and collecting McCoy Pottery. She loved going to the State Fair and county fairs. She especially enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren and she loved making crafts with the kids. Therese was also a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader in Germantown for many years. She had a great sense of humor.
She is survived by her husband, David; her mother, Mary Schroeder of Cedarburg; three children, Amy (Chad) Sommerfeld of West Bend, David Weickert of Florida, and Brandon Weickert of West Bend; three grandchildren, Austin, Ella, and Mya; three brothers, Dan, Bill, and Tom; two brothers-in-law, Steven Weickert and Michael (Tammy) Weickert; three nieces, Amber Schroeder, Haley Weickert, and Rachel Weickert; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Schroeder.
A memorial service in remembrance of Therese will be held on Wednesday, July 10 at 2:00 pm at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
