Terry Bruce Vilter, age 66, formerly of Mayville, passed away on April 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with health issues, at Lakehouse Fond du Lac.

Terry was born on December 14, 1959, to the late George and Elaine (Gebhardt) Vilter in Wausau, WI.

After graduating from Athens High School, Terry owned and operated a dairy farm. When health issues forced him to stop farming, he attended and graduated from tech school with a computer science degree. He worked as a computer programmer and manager for many years at Johnson & Johnson in Racine, Tab Products in Mayville, and Dairyland Seed in Kewaskum before retiring in 2023.

Terry was a model train enthusiast and had a large collection. He also enjoyed gardening and taking care of his yard.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Tom. He is survived by nieces and a nephew and their families along with other relatives and friends and his cat Rosie.

Graveside Service for Terry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Merrill Memorial Park (201 Memorial Dr. – Merrill, WI 54452).

A special heartfelt appreciation goes to the staff of the Lakehouse Fond du Lac Assisted Living Community and Moments Hospice for the loving care they provided.
