Sue E. Laubach, 74, of Kewaskum, passed away on May 10, 2026, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk, with her family at her side.
Sue was born on February 5, 1952, in Fond du Lac, to the late Donald Matthies and Evelyn (nee Giese) Reichert. Sue was baptized on March 5, 1952, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee. She was confirmed at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum on May 22, 1966. Sue graduated from Kewaskum High School on June 5, 1970.
She pursued her education in cosmetology which allowed her to serve 43 years as a beautician. In 1971, Sue started her career in the old Nolting building (dentist office). On May 9, 1975, she was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Laubach at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum, together they shared 51 years of marriage. In 1987, Sue and her husband bought the Nolting building and renovated it to be a full hair salon where she was the owner and operator of Family Hair Salon which is now known as Hair on Main.
Sue had a love for people and a passion for doing hair. She had a warm smile, a kind heart, and will be remembered by many clients and coworkers. Sue enjoyed flowers, and had a love for making her yard and house look pristine. She enjoyed craft fairs, Harley riding, baking, and word search puzzles. Sue's ultimate joy was spending time and spoiling her grandkids with treats.
Those Sue leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Dick; three children, Tory Laubach (Tiffany Flinders), Tanya (Jim) Stippich, and Tiffany Laubach (Sam Keller); grandchildren, Brady Laubach, Kylie, Emerson, Kensley, Erikson, and Kadieson Stippich; a step grandson, Elijah Stippich; two brothers, Dale (Joy) Matthies and Daryl (Debra) Matthies; other relatives and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, Donald (Audrey) Matthies; her mother, Evelyn (Bob) Riechert; her parents-in-law, Alex and Claudia Laubach; and her sister-in-law, Vivian (Andy) Reis.
