It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Samantha Marie Latz, who left this world on December 10, 2025, just days shy of her 54th birthday. Sam was born on December 15, 1971, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to parents Thomas and Susan (Schwartz) Latz. Sam grew up with a creative spirit that would blossom throughout her life. Though she spent over two decades in the retail industry as a design manager at Steins in Brookfield, her passion for craftsmanship ultimately led her to pursue a career in welding. In 2014, Sam earned her associate’s degree in welding from Moraine Park and found her calling as a welder and fabricator at Warehouse Equipment in Germantown. Her artistry and talent shone through in her work, as well as in her many household projects, which filled her home with beauty and warmth. Sam was a devoted mother to her children, Justin Martin and Corinne Neuenfeldt, who were the pride of her life. Sam’s unwavering spirit and dedication to her craft, family, and friends were evident in all that she did.

Those left to cherish Sam’s memory include her children, Justin Martin and Corinne Neuenfeldt; other relatives and friends.

Sam is preceded in death by her sisters, Laura Kujawa and Jessica Schmitz.
