Ruth Ann Santoro (nee Peters), age 77 years, of Kewaskum was called home to be with the Lord on July 11, 2025, at Compassionate Heights Beechwood, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born on May 7, 1948, in West Bend to Robert and Marie Peters (nee Vanbeek).
Ruth began her journey in West Bend, growing up in Newburg, and graduating from West Bend High School. She started working at Amity in West Bend. Her passion was sales and connected with people; she enjoyed decorating and started her career with Home Interiors. She met the love of her life, Joe, at a wedding when he was on leave at Great Lakes Naval base, married May 28, 1971. They built their first home in West Bend and forever home in Kewaskum. Ruth enjoyed traveling with family and friends, making new friends on the journey. Cruising was one of her favorite adventures.
She found happiness every day, sharing memories from the past with family and friends. She was known as the Dancing Queen, her love of music and dancing not only at events but also at home.
Those left to celebrate Ruth’s memory include Joe her husband of 54 years & her three children, Jesse Santoro, Nathan (Rachel) Santoro and Angela Santoro; four grandchildren, Zach (Emile) Blasczyk, Sonya (Christopher) Allen, Maycie Santoro, and Jack Santoro; three great-grandchildren, Winry, Margaux, and Emerson. She is further survived by sisters, Gerrie (Bob) Schladweiler, Minnie (Rick) Schultze, Chris Udovich; sister-in-law, Carol (Bob) Peters and Patty (Kurt) Clark, and brother-in-law, Jackie (Connie) Santoro and Darrell Wodsedalek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her in-laws, James and Victoria Santoro; brothers, Bob Peters and Joey Peters; sister, Caroline Wodsedalek; brother-in-law, Stanley Santoro; and niece, Nicole Santoro.
Celebration of Life: Ruth’s family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095.
Memorials in Ruth’s name can be directed to Washington or Ozaukee County Humane Society.
