Ronald “Ron” Alvin Buechler, 81, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, with his family by his side.
Ron was born on August 26, 1944 in Port Washington to the late Arthur and Virginia Buechler (nee Anzia). He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1962. Ron proudly served his country in the Navy from 1962 thru 1966 during the Vietnam War while stationed in Japan. He was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Walber at Holy Cross Catholic Church in the town of Belgium on December 2, 1967. Ron was a master electrician at Uihlein Electric for 35 years. He enjoyed playing softball and his team always won the beer drinking trophy. Ron coached his sons in Little League hardball in Newburg. He was a proud member of Ozaukee Fish and Game and served on the board for many years where he loved to trap shoot. He also enjoyed shooting 3D Archery, deer hunting “Stomps in the woods”, and pheasant hunting with his beloved dog CJ by his side. Ron enjoyed spending time at the trailer up north. He was a cherished husband, proud father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He participated in the Honor Flight on Sept 28, 2019.
Ron was a man of few words but typically they were stern, heartfelt, and filled with conviction. His work ethic was not matched by many and just when you thought the job was done there was always a finishing touch to complete the job.
Those left to cherish Ron’s memory include his wife, Patricia; children, Jodi Maruca, Robin (Jim) Culver, Arthur (Tricia) Buechler, and Ronald (Laura) Buechler; grandchildren, Heather Maruca, Alex (Tabitha) Maruca, Megan Maruca, Ava Culver, Natalie Culver, Calla Buechler, Brooke Buechler, and Siera Buechler; great granddaughters, Madison Clark and Nina Maruca; sisters, Shirley Fechter, Beverly Beyer, and Bonnie (Wayne) Gierach; other relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by a sister, Judy (Dick) Schoenfeldt; brother in-laws, Donald Fechter, Dick Beyer, and longtime friend and brother in arms, Gary Palmer.

MEMORIAL MASS: A Memorial Mass will take place following visitation at 3:30 p.m., on Friday, May 8, 2026, with Father Tom DeVries and Deacon Mike Koebel officiating the Mass. A private burial will take place later.
