Robert D. “Dan” Northrop Jr., 72, of West Bend, entered eternal life on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at the V.A. Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Dan was born on September 23, 1945, in Sayre, PA, the son of the late Robert D. Sr. and Mary A. (nee Sheridan) Northrop.  He was united in marriage to Jean Dyer on September 15, 1980, in Milwaukee.

Dan loved golfing, bowling, watching the Brewers, and putting around in his garage.  His favorite past times involved being outside with nature, fishing, and taking many trips up north to Necedah.

Those Dan leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 37 years, Jean; two children, Traci Northrop of West Bend and Mike (Lisa) Northrop of Eden; a brother, Jeff (Debbie) Northrop of Elmira, NY; a sister, Mary Ann (John) Andrus of Elmira, NY; three brothers-in-law, Richard Dyer of Waukesha, James Dyer of Waukesha, and Robert (Beth) Dyer of Michigan; close friends, Brother Bob, Dennis and Pete; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Dan will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., in West Bend.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Milwaukee V.A. Medical Center are appreciated.

The Northrop family would like extend their heartfelt appreciation to the V.A. Medical Center as well as to Cody for all the help, care, and comfort they provided.
