Celebration of Life
Myrhum - Patten Funeral and Cremation Service (Washington St. West Bend)
5:00 - 7:00 pm (Central time)
Richard John Schultz, known lovingly as Rick, passed away on February 24, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on December 20, 1961, Richard built a life rooted in hard work, deep love, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.
Richard spent nearly 20 years as a dedicated welder at Germantown Iron & Steel, where he took great pride in his craft and the relationships he formed along the way. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing and going mudding, two hobbies that brought him peace, excitement, and countless memories.
Above all else, Richard cherished time with his children and grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than being surrounded by the people he loved most.
Richard was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and friend to many. He and his wife, Tracy, built a beautiful life together and raised three children: Matt Pohl, Christopher (Cassey) Pohl, and Steffanie (David) Schumacher. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life: Tayler Wasilewski, Sophee Jochem-Pohl, Mattea Pohl, and Bodhi Pohl.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, children, grandchildren, his brothers Dave (Lisa) Schultz and Robert Schultz, his sister Barb Perlewitz, and his many nieces and nephews. Richard’s presence, humor, and generous heart touched everyone who knew him.
He will be missed deeply.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Richard’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. With sharing of memories beginning at 5: 00 p.m.
