Richard J. Heinecke

March 2, 1954 — September 18, 2025

Allenton

Richard (Rick) J. Heinecke, 71, of Allenton, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

He was born in Fond du Lac, WI, on March 2nd, 1954, to the late Fritz and Agnes Heinecke. On June 10, 1978, he was united in marriage to Linda Hesprich at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira. In their early years together, Rick and Linda were proud to be part of Big Brothers Big Sisters. A devoted and hard-working man, Rick spent 49 years as a machinist for Weasler Engineering before hanging up his tools for a well-earned retirement.

Rick spent a lot of his free time volunteering. He gave over 50 years of service as a proud member of the Allenton Fire Department. He was also very involved with the Allenton Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus. At Slinger High School, Rick volunteered at the concession stand for many years, cracking jokes and flipping burgers as the self-proclaimed “grill-master.” For many students and families, his dad jokes and delicious food were a highlight during various sporting events. His positivity was infectious, and he shared it with many people. He was a truly special person.

Rick was a passionate fan of the Green Bay Packers. He was almost always wearing a green Packers hat. When he finally became a Packers season ticket holder after more than 25 years on the waiting list, he and Linda loved to share their extra seats with family and friends.

Rick was well known for his sense of humor, generosity, and kindness. His laughter lit up a room. He would do anything to put a smile on the face of anyone around him, and he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

He loved to give from the kindness of his heart, and he asked for nothing in return. Rick donated 72 gallons of blood at the Blood Center of Wisconsin over 39 years. Around the house, Rick enjoyed tending to his garden and sharing his harvest with family, friends, and neighbors. He was very proud of his family, especially his two sons, and he talked about them often. He had a gift for spreading joy, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda; sons Adam Heinecke and Benjamin Heinecke (Taylor); brothers, Steve (Karen) Heinecke, Gary (Janet) Heinecke, Phillip (Kerry) Heinecke, Mark (Lori) Heinecke, Kevin (Sandy) Heinecke, and Gene (Dawn) Heinecke; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fritz and Agnes Heinecke.
