Richard "Dick" Farrell Doede

(November 20, 1930 – September 10, 2026)

Richard F. Doede, age 95 of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

Dick was born to the late William and Jewell Doede on November 20, 1930. He served in the Army during the Korean war and was a highly respected business owner of Doede Construction. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Ellen Lallathin on June 14, 2052. Together they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before Betty’s passing in September of 2012.

Dick loved staying active by camping, traveling and enjoying the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved gardening, wood carving, painting and making wine. Above all Dick loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dick is survived by his two children, David (Lee) Doede and Mary (John) Montag; grandchildren, Chad (Kelly), Craig (Carly), Joshua Youmans, Amber, Cole and Christopher (Kaitlin) Miller; great grandchildren, Mitchell, Morgan, Lucas, Leyton, Chase, Jazlyn, Kendall, Kaydin, Lincoln, Davis, Ellianna and Berkley; brother-in-law, Elgart Mueller; special friend, Delores Harder; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty; his son, Daniel; parents; parents-in-laws, John and Esther Lallathin; and many other family members and special friends.

A private military service and burial will be held at a later date.
