Patrick Brian Schmidt died May 25th, 2026 at his home.
Born to Polly (Isselman) Schmidt and Marvin Schmidt in West Bend on May 27th, 1958. He attended West Bend High School and was known as “Gears” for his motorcycle riding. He worked as a mechanic operating a “back alley garage” in high school operating his own mechanic shops and working in local salvage yards. His proudest moment was receiving his private pilots license and doing scenic tours for friends and relatives. In retirement was known for his huge garden and sharing it with family and friends. He also enjoyed volunteering at Oshkosh EAA and driving the tram.
Patrick is survived by his wife Mary. His brothers Peter and Mike; sisters, Vickie, Laurie, and Rebecca; two half sisters. He is furthermore survived by brother in laws, Chuck (Kathy) Payne, Russ (Val Schroeder) Payne, Mike (Cindy) Payne; Sister in law Kathy (Dave) Johnson, and Eileen (Bob) Christ; 19 nieces and nephews along with many other great nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Pat is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Polly Schmidt. A mother in law Betty; a cousin Dave “Schmeds” Schmidt, and a dear friend Rollie Miller.
VISITATION: Pat’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, June 19th, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 350 Main St. Lomira, WI, 53048.
SERVICE: A Memorial Service in remembrance of Patrick will take place at 6:00 p.m on Friday, June 19th, 2026 at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 350 Main St. Lomira, WI, 53048.
The family would like to thank you to Campbellsport Rescue, Mike Payne (couldn’t have got through it without you), Kathy, Eileen, Chuck, and all the Payne nieces and nephews. Especially Lauren, Maggie and Aaron, Jen, Brian, and Nick. Also, thank you to the Schmidt family especially Pete and Vickie, along with Sandy and Gene. Thank you also to the best neighbors ever Eric and Lynn, Chad and Laura, Ava and Ellwyn, and Dan and Maryann. Sorry if I missed anyone, and Joan for the computer expertise.
