Obituary

Patricia “Pat” Mae (nee Madden) Roecker, 98, of West Bend, Wisconsin, passed away on July 27, 2026. Born on July 25, 1928, in Milwaukee, she was the cherished daughter of John and Melba (nee Madden). On August 19, 1950, Pat married the love of her life, Leonard E. Roecker, embarking on a journey together that would take them from Wisconsin to seven adventurous years in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, before returning to the Wisconsin they loved. A proud graduate of UW-Madison and a dedicated school teacher early in her marriage, Pat’s life was defined by her devotion to family, faith, and friends. She and Leonard built their beloved home in Minocqua in 1968, and a Condominium in West Bend in 1985 where laughter and memories flourished. Pat was a long-time member of both St. James Episcopal Church in West Bend and St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Minocqua, enriching each community with her warmth and steadfast spirit.

Pat is lovingly remembered by her five children: Karen Bacha, Donna (Billy) Fried, Marilou (Bret) Porlier, Leonard (Crystal) Roecker, and Nancy (Charles) Soule. She is also survived by her ten devoted grandchildren: Tracy Petrie, Brad (Bethany) Bucklew, Kelsey (Kevin) Freese, Mike Bacha (Conor Malone), Macy (Zach) Miller, Autumn (Braden) Mitchell, Tori Roecker, Lenny Roecker, Charlie (Kayla) Soule, and Taylor Soule, as well as eight adoring great-grandchildren: Kieran, Halle, Parker, Cora, Levi, Tyler, Skylar, and Ashlyn. Pat is further survived by her sister, Marge Morley, along with many other beloved relatives and friends.

In addition to her loving husband Leonard Roecker and her parents John and Melba Madden, Pat was preceded in death by her brother, John Madden, and grandson Jeremy Petrie.

A visitation for Pat will be held Monday August 3rd, 2026, at 10:00 am to 11:15 am at St. James Episcopal Church, 148 S. 8th Avenue, in West Bend, WI 53095, where her loving family will greet visitors.

Funeral Mass for Pat will be held at 11:30 following the visitation, with Father Oswald officiating.

The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. James Episcopal Church in West Bend.

Following the funeral mass, entombment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park.
