Orville "Chuck" Charles Kocher II

Orville C. “Chuck” Kocher, age 73, of West Bend, was called home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2025, at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with aggressive cancer.

Chuck was born on May 19, 1952, in West Bend, WI, to the late Orville and Lucille (nee Liermann) Kocher. On November 25, 1972, he was united in marriage to Sherry (nee Johnson) Kocher at Immanuel United Church of Christ in West Bend.

Chuck was honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States of America as a Specialist Four (E-4) with Detachment One, 53rd Aviation Company (AH) on January 26, 1978, and continued to serve in the Army Reserve. He graduated from Moraine Park Technical Institute in the Machine Repair program in June 1981. Chuck worked in the Research and Development Department at Weasler Engineering for 36 years.

He had a lifelong love and passion for anything with a motor—especially old cars.

Those Chuck leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 53 years, Sherry; his son Michael (Michelle) Kocher; his daughter Angela (Jason) Ford; his two grandchildren, Samantha Kocher and Andrew Ford-Kocher; sister Kay (Wayland) McAllister; and his mother-in-law & father-in-law, George and Dorothy Johnson of Sebring, Florida. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Memorials in Chuck’s name can be directed to the Ozaukee County Humane Society. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Community Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.

No immediate services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
