Norbert “Bert” Rohlinger, 86, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025.
Bert was born on December 11, 1938, in Kewaskum to the late Leo and Johanna (nee Hall) Rohlinger. Bert graduated Kewaskum High School in 1956 and served in the United States Army National Guard. He was united in marriage to Darlene Ortman on June 6, 1959. Darlene preceded Bert in death on July 16, 1998. Bert worked as a Meat Cutter for 40 years and retired in 1998. He was the last living charter member of Hon-e-kor Country Club which opened in 1960. Lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church serving in many different capacities. Bert was avid Wisconsin sport fan, ranging from Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Wisconsin Badgers. Enjoyed bowling, going to the casino, and loved to play cribbage. Bert was a proud father, grandfather “Papa”, and great-grandfather.
Those left to cherish Bert’s memory include his two sons, Scott (special friend, Robin) and James “Jim” (special friend, Renee) Rohlinger; significant other, Jan Andrews; five grandchildren, Justin (special friend, Rachel), Michael (Lyndsay), Alissa (Alex) Boyung, Hannah (Brett) Vandenack , and Max (Fiancé, Rachel);four great-grandchildren, Isabelle Boyung, Alivia Boyung, Samuel Rohlinger, and Elia Rohlinger; sister, Mary (Dave) Ours; sister-in-law, Beverly Rohlinger; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bert is preceded in death by sisters, Rita (Robert) Renner and Shirley Sarauer; three brothers, Gregor Rohlinger, Al (Janet) Rohlinger, Infant Brother Joseph Rohlinger; brother-in-law, Ronnie Sarauer.
VISITATION: Bert’s family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, (331 Main Street, Kewaskum, WI).
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will take place following visitation at 12:00 p.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with Father Patrick Magnor officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Bert to be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church and School are appreciated.
