Nancy J. Harding

Nancy Jane Harding (nee Hinze), 69, passed away on May 20, 2025, at the Kathy Hospice in West Bend, Wisconsin, after a brave battle with cancer.

Nancy was born on January 16, 1956, in Milwaukee to Norman and Arlene Hinze. On August 8, 1981, she married her best friend, Greg Harding, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and family.

She graduated from Milwaukee Custer High School before earning her teaching degree from UW–Milwaukee. Nancy loved being a teacher. She started out her career as a physical education teacher then later found her calling working in special education in the West Bend School District.

Outside of work, Nancy found joy in the little things: curling up with a good book, cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers, listening to her favorite music, and bringing people together. She cherished hosting get-togethers with family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Greg; her daughters, Kaytlyn Muehlbauer (Matt) and Emmalyn Nelson; her sister, Norene Johnson (Tom); her brother, Neal Hinze (Monica); and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who brought her so much joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Arlene, and her brother, Norm Hinze.

Nancy’s kindness, gentle humor, and love will never be forgotten. Her family will honor her life with a service on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral and Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend, and all who loved her are welcome to attend.

Nancy’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Kathy Hospice in Nancy’s memory.
