Nancee L. Donner

August 8, 1934 — July 6, 2025

West Bend

Nancee “Nan” Donner (nee Trom), 90, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 6, 2025, with family by her side.

Nancee was born on August 8, 1934, in Mora, Minnesota to the late Odin and Myrtle (nee Clark) Trom. Nancee married the love of her life, Don Donner, on April 16, 1955, and they enjoyed 68 wonderful years together.

Nancee was well traveled but mostly cherished her annual trips with Don to Sedona, Arizona and introducing her family to its hiking trails and “God’s country.” When she was not traveling, she loved to host family and friends—sitting together and sharing laughter and stories. Her and Don’s health were of utmost importance; she modeled how to age gracefully up until the very end, always determined to get some exercise every day and eat well, sometimes pairing her healthy food with a glass of wine or evening pumpkin cordial. Deeply committed to God and serving others, Nancee touched many lives volunteering at Kathy Hospice, and supporting others in their faith journeys.

Those left to cherish Nancee’s strength, positivity, and humor include her five daughters, Kim Donner, Cindy (Mike Schneider) Donner, Kelly Donner, Wendy (Gary) Freitag, Julie (Andy Brunner) Donner; her eight adoring grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Harris and Jeanne Laitinen; and sister-in-law, Donna Schulz. She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and many friends made over the years.

Nancee was met at heaven’s gates by her parents, husband, and her grandson, Michael Freitag.

Nancee’s family will celebrate her life with a private service.

In honor of Nancee’s spirit, please consider making a donation in her name to one of these favorite charities: Kathy Hospice, West Bend, Northbrook Church, Richfield, or Samaritan’s Purse.
