Mary E Albrecht of Slinger was called to her eternal home in Christ on June 11, 2026 at the age of 67. She was the daughter of Gordon and Lila Snyder. She became a child of God in holy baptism at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Milwaukee where her father was serving as a student pastor. Her confirmation in the Christian faith was at Nain Lutheran Church in West Allis.
In August of 1983 she married Mark Albrecht. They were blessed with three children: Katherine (Michael) Dogs, Lisa (Blake) Samanas, and Daniel (Denise) Albrecht. They were also thankful for seven grandchildren: Frederick, Wilhelmina Mary, Orie, Martin, and Oliver Dogs, and Henry and Greta Samanas.
Before moving to Slinger in retirement, she worked for many years at JJ Keller in Neenah. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, choir, handbells, playing flute in church, and spending time with family. Her family is so thankful for her loving concern, for her encouragement for them to grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and for her humble trust in God’s plan even in challenging times.
She is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren, and by her five siblings: Tim (Patricia) Snyder, Rachel (Chris) Cordes, Chris (Kris) Snyder, Lois (Mark) Buske, and Peter (Jenell) Snyder. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Carol Albrecht, and by three brothers-in-law: Paul (Pam) Albrecht, Tom (Catherine) Albrecht, and Daniel (Liz) Albrecht.
Her funeral service will be on Thursday, June 18 at 11:30 AM at Morning Star Lutheran Church in Jackson with a visitation beginning at 9:00 AM.
Memorials are suggested for Morning Star Lutheran Church, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, or the Slinger Library expansion project.
