Lori Hron, age 74 of West Bend, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. She was born on September 10, 1951 daughter of Howard and Darlene (Casper) Glander. She was raised in West Bend and graduated from West Bend East High School in 1971. She attended Sacred Heart School of Practical Nursing and graduated in 1972. She married her high school sweetheart James Hron on May 25, 1974, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. They raised two sons Andrew and Nicholas. Lori was an LPN and nutritionist, caring for patients and clients at Samaritan Home, Cedar Lake Home, Nutrisystem, and Jenny Craig. She was also a crossing guard for West Bend schools for many years.
Lori was a loving mother and grandmother. She delighted in caring for her boys and spending time with her granddaughter. Lori was always up for a trip – to go shopping, to the cabin up north, a visit to friends and family or a vacation. In her free time, she was an avid reader. She loved celebrating a holiday or milestone with friends and family and baking treats for her loved ones.
Those left behind to cherish Lori include: her loving husband James “Jim”; sons Andy (Stacy) Hron, Nic Hron; granddaughter Brooklynn Hron; siblings Pam Taylor, Steve Glander and Linda (John) Schmitt; brother and sister in-laws Michael (Nancy) Hron, Christine Hron and Mary (Rod) Berglund. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law Paul and Paula Hron, brother-in-law Dave Taylor, sister-in-law Cheryl Glander, and nephew Michael Glander.
VISITATION: Lori’s family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 8th Avenue, West Bend, WI 53095.
SERVICE: A funeral service in remembrance of Lori will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Church with Rev. Howard Haase officiating.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend, Center for Advanced Care at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa , and Horizon Home Hospice for their care and compassion.
