Obituary

Lisa A. Sohrweide, 54, of Grafton, passed away on May 19, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.

Lisa was born on March 20, 1972, in West Bend, Wisconsin, to Daniel Droese and Nancy Kuehl.

Lisa had a deep love for the Milwaukee Brewers and cherished any opportunity to spend time outdoors. Family meant everything to her, and she poured her heart into the people she loved. Her greatest joy was her granddaughter, Ember. Fridays were their special "Nana Days," filled with shared blueberries and breakfast dates at Flipside Café.

Lisa was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back. She was always there for others, even on days when she wasn't feeling her personal best. Her generosity and compassion were evident in the way she raised her niece, Sam, as her own, creating a bond that grew into a true mother-daughter relationship.

She loved to frequent craft fairs, enjoyed getting lost in a good book, and had a lifelong admiration for Reba McEntire and music of all kinds, especially 1990s country. When life felt heavy, Lisa often found peace at the bluff in Port Washington, a place where she could breathe, reflect, and recharge.

Sundays were reserved for spending time with her mother, Nancy, and the two rarely went a day without speaking. She was dedicated to caring for her mother as her mother cared for her. Lisa also found purpose and fulfillment in her work, taking pride in helping the clients who relied on her. She dearly loved her Australian Shepherd, Elliot, and spoiled him in the sweetest of ways. While she had a well-known fear of turtles and snakes (much to the amusement of her son, Zach, who never missed an opportunity to show her one), her favorite animal was always the elephant.

Lisa leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Zach (Miranda) Sohrweide; her beloved granddaughter, Ember; her nieces, Sam (Vel) Droese and Courtney (Colter) Salminen; her brother, Kevin Lindert; her step-sister, Jill Guetzke; her mother, Nancy (Marlyn) Lindert; her aunt, Diane (Vern) Pomeroy; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel "Dan" Droese; her brother, Scott Droese; and several beloved aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

In accordance with Lisa's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A celebration of her life will be announced and held at a later date.

The Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Lisa's arrangements. Additional information and an online guestbook may be found at www.myrhum-patten.com.
