Obituary

Linda Mae Gavin, 69, of Kewaskum passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at home surrounded by her family.

Linda was born on June 6, 1956 in West Bend to the late Earl and Janice Morenzien (nee Backhaus). On October 15, 1977 she was united in marriage to Gary R. Gavin in Kewaskum, Wisconsin.

Linda devoted her life to raising 3 beautiful daughters, 10 grandchildren, and her love for dogs, with Abby being her favorite. She loved to travel the world with her husband. Linda’s favorite being Russia and her yearly visits to Arizona to visit her great friend Chris. She volunteered at the Samaritan Nursing Home and Meals on Wheels. Linda loved playing cards with her family and friends. She took pride in having the cleanest house and making sure that the clothes smelt like Downy fabric softener. Linda’s greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow up and enjoyed watching them play sports, shopping, cooking, spending lots of Grandpa’s money. Linda is now in Heaven with her parents, grandparents, Frank and Leona Backhaus and Ella Bartsch, and a beloved friend, Joshua Buncich.

Linda had a strong will to live and battled ALS with a lot of courage and strength. The family would like to give gratitude to Nancy Rahn, Brenda Roehrig, and her 4th Daughter, Dani Knorr for all their love, support, and friendship. A special thank you to Jodi and Amber from Generations Hospice for making her feel comfortable and loved.

Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include her husband, Gary; 3 children, Stacy (Fred) Cluppert, Heather (Steve) Jepson, and Krystal (Justin) Boeldt; 10 grandchildren, Dylan, Noah, and Alyson Cluppert, Garret, Lorren, and Lidia Handke, Sylar Jepson, Paxten, Beckett, and Adley Boeldt; brother, Larry (Kris) Morenzien.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
