Kylie was a goofy, full-spirited little girl with a warm and loving heart.

With hearts shattered beyond words, we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, Kylie Bratten, who left this world far too soon on September 21, 2026, at the age of 12.

Kylie was a goofy, full-spirited little girl with a warm and loving heart. She had one of the truest, kindest souls you could ever have the privilege of knowing. Kylie cared deeply about others and always wanted the people around her to be happy and to feel loved, important, and special.

She was shy and sometimes quiet, but once Kylie let you into her heart, she had a way of lighting up your entire world. She didn’t have to be the loudest person in the room to leave the biggest impression. Her gentle spirit spoke for itself.

Kylie had an incredible love for animals. Her favorite animal was the snow leopard, and she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian one day so she could spend her life caring for animals. She loved all creatures, big and small, and her compassion for them reflected the compassion she carried for people.

Kylie loved to read and create art, and she found happiness in the simple things. Some of her family’s most treasured memories were made together at pumpkin patches, looking at Christmas lights, camping, and going to festivals. These ordinary moments became extraordinary because Kylie was there.

One of Kylie’s favorite things was Lilo & Stitch, a love that became part of who she was. Her family will forever think of her whenever they see Stitch, snow leopards, beautiful artwork, books, Christmas lights, and all the little pieces of the world that she loved.

Kylie was also a deeply loved daughter and sister. She leaves behind her mother, Becca; her father, Chris; her little brother, Kaedan; and her grandmother, Dawn, who will all carry her love with them for the rest of their lives.

Kylie was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, her older sister, Nevaeh, her Pop-Pop, her Uncle Clint, and her cousins, Domynick and Danycka. She was also preceded in death by other beloved family members and loved ones who held special places in her heart. Kylie came into her mother’s life as her rainbow baby, bringing light and love after unimaginable loss. The bond between Kylie and her family can never be replaced.

Kylie’s life was far too short, but the love she gave was enormous.

She taught the people around her that kindness matters. That animals deserve love. That quiet people can have enormous hearts. That making someone feel special can mean more than we will ever know.

Most of all, Kylie showed us what it means to love with your whole heart.

Her family wishes they could have protected her from every hurt, held onto her forever, and somehow made time stand still. There are no words big enough for the pain of having to say goodbye to a child.

So instead of goodbye, we will carry Kylie with us.

We will find her in the glow of Christmas lights.

We will remember her at pumpkin patches in the fall.

We will look at the stars while camping and think of her.

We will see a snow leopard and smile because we know exactly who would have loved it.

We will hear Lilo & Stitch and think of our girl.

And every time we see someone being kind, loving, or making another person feel special, we will remember Kylie and the beautiful heart she carried through this world.

Kylie, Mommy doesn’t know how to say goodbye to you. I don’t want you to leave me. I never wanted a world where I had to learn how to live without you. You will always be my baby, my beautiful girl, and one of the greatest pieces of my heart.

You may no longer be able to hold our hands, but you will forever hold a place in our hearts.

Your life mattered.

Your love mattered.

Your kindness mattered.

You mattered.

And you always will.

Until we meet again, our beautiful, graceful angel.

A visitation will be held at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service on October 2, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
