Kathleen Ruth Yahnke, nee Sweeney, 71, of Jackson, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
She was born on May 25, 1943 to the late Walter and Ruth (nee Manske) Sweeney in Milwaukee. She Graduated from Bay View High School in 1961. She went to St. Luke's Nursing School and received her degree as a nurse. On May 8, 1969 she was united in marriage to Terrance Yahnke in Milwaukee.
She worked as a nurse at the Samaritan Health Center for 27 years. Kathleen liked reading, fireworks, sewing dresses for her granddaughters, and loved to be around her family. The family especially enjoyed summer family vacations to Wisconsin Dells. She also enjoyed the Milwaukee Circus Parade.
She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Yahnke; six children; Christopher (Terri) Yahnke, Theodore Yahnke, Steven (Cheryl) Yahnke, Heather (Greg) Klump, Michael (fiancee Anna Jordan) Yahnke, and Spencer Yahnke; seven grandchildren, Tanner Yahnke, Erin Yahnke, Logan Yahnke, Jake Yahnke, Evan Yahnke, Noelle Klump and Nathan Klump; two sisters, Susan (Mark) Fiene and Linda (Carl) Anderson; a brother, Dennis (Ann) Sweeney; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation in remembrance of Kathleen will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.
