Kathleen Mary Hausknecht, “Kate”, age 85, of Hubertus, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 5th. Kathleen was born on November 6th 1939 in Milwaukee to Henry and Evelyn (Dutkiewicz) Engel. In her early years she lived in the St. Anthony Parish district of Milwaukee’s south side with family members in close vicinity. She attended South Division High School and married Frank Karl Hausknecht from Custer High School in 1958. Together they raised 2 children. They built a house in Hubertus, Wisconsin and traveled to Door County often. Kate was a devoted house wife and mother, a talented entertainer, and interior designer. Kate especially enjoyed spending her days with her little lap dog Molly, often visited by her brother Paul Henry Engel and his dogs.

Kate is survived and dearly missed by her children Kelly Marie Hausknecht, Brad Alan Hausknecht, her sister Mary Engel, nieces, nephews, their children and her friends.

Cremation has taken place.
