Judy Mae Prom

Judy Mae Prom (née Weber), 85, left the loving arms of her husband and family and was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Judy was born on October 17, 1940, in Slinger to the late Roland and Bernice Weber (née Streblow). She grew up in a close, caring family and carried that same warmth and generosity throughout her life. A 1958 graduate of Slinger High School, Judy earned her teaching degree from Lakeland College and spent ten years teaching elementary school. On June 19, 1965, Judy married Frederick Prom and settled in Fredonia, where they welcomed four children and built a life filled with laughter and music. Judy not only loved listening to music, but also delighted in making it, playing piano, accordion, and clarinet. Judy later worked for fifteen years at IGC Printing, where she made many friends. Upon retirement, Judy and Fred moved to Mayville, where they found joy in the quiet beauty of nature. They spent time together birdwatching, visiting the local library, and enjoying time spent with their children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish Judy’s memory include her husband, Frederick; children, Jennifer (Tom) Young, Joseph Prom, Sara (Jason) Schill, and Timothy (Carmen) Prom; five granddaughters, Morissa, Emily, Charlotte, Vivienne, and Margot; two brothers, David and Richard (Loni) Weber; and many other family members and friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol (John) Kostalek and Jean (Ray) Ritterbusch; and brother, Michael Weber.

Judy’s family will have a celebration of life in early 2026 for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Assistance Fund, whose MS program supported Judy in her treatment and care. The Assistance Fund donation link.
