1:00 - 6:00 pm (Central time)
John Michael Westcott, 59, of Campbellsport, passed away peacefully at home on May 21, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved deeply, after a courageous battle with goblet cell appendix carcinoma.
John was born on February 20, 1967, to Patricia and Joel Westcott. He built his life around hard work, loyalty, and providing for the people he loved. On June 17, 1995, he married Stephanie Donath-Marino in Las Vegas, beginning a partnership rooted in love, commitment, and resilience.
John expressed love through action. Whether he was manning the grill, cooking for family; under the hood of a car, fixing something that needed repair; cheering on Wisconsin sports teams (Packers, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers); tending to his Oscar fish tank; or spending time outside—especially in the pool with his daughters—he found quiet ways to care for the people around him. He was resourceful, hardworking, and the kind of man who could build, repair, or figure out just about anything.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and old country music—especially George Jones—and the comfort of simple routines. Family and friends knew him as dependable, steady, and always willing to lend a hand. His presence brought a sense of comfort and familiarity that will be deeply missed.
John is survived by his wife, Stephanie Westcott; his daughters, Candace Westcott, Rachel Westcott, Samantha Westcott, and Emily Westcott; his beloved granddaughter, Kendall Noelle; his mother, Patricia Westcott (née Kunach); his brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Laura Westcott; his stepmother, Ruth Westcott; his nieces, Jessica Westcott (fiancé, Caleb Kolander) and Leah Westcott; his great-nephew, Joshua David; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joel Westcott; his father-in-law, Herbert Donath; and his mother-in-law, Candace Donath (née Marino).
Above all else, John will be remembered for the unwavering love he had for his family—a love shown not through grand words, but through everyday acts of care, sacrifice, and showing up when it mattered most. His family will think of him often when they hear classic country music playing, smell a grill warming up on a summer evening, or watch a Packers game.
The family finds comfort imagining John reunited with his bulldog, Pumbaa, settling in with a cold beer in hand and a game on TV.
A celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the family home (N635 Moraine Drive, Campbellsport, WI 53010), from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
