Obituary

John Hahn, age 90 years, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2026, at Kathy Hospice with his wife, Gloria (nee Fechter) Hahn, by his side.

John was born on September 21, 1935, in Iron Ridge to William and Mabel (nee Weber) Hahn. He was united in marriage to Gloria on February 8, 1964.

Those John leaves behind to cherish his memory include his children, Beth (Jim Jr) Oezer and Ed (Teri) Hahn; his grandchildren, Josh (Maribeth) Oezer, Tim (Hanna) Oezer, Krista Oezer, Will (fiancée Sarah) Hahn, and Nick Hahn; and his great-granddaughter, Wilhelmina Oezer.

He is further survived by his sister, Lucille (John) Van Straten; brother, James Hahn; and sister-in-law, Annette Hahn; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel Hahn; parents-in-law, Martin and Eva (Hentges) Fechter; siblings, Harland (Caroline) Hahn, Clement (Margie) Hahn, Mildred (Frank) Vollman, Lorraine (Marvin) Nagel, Dorothy (Richard) Frey, Charlie Hahn, Mary (Walter) Klink, and Marvin Hahn.

A graveside service at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove will be held on May 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

John was a two term United States Army Veteran who proudly served his country overseas in France.  Memorials in John’s name can be directed to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, Inc. at PO Box 867, Menomonee Falls, WI 53052. The family requests no flowers or other gifts be sent.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Kathy Hospice, as well as the in-home hospice team and John’s weekly caregiver for all their care and compassion.
