Obituary

Joel “Joe” Patrick Fox, 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

Joe was born on November 30, 1949 in Milwaukee, to the late Sylvester “Jack” and Rosalie “Rose” Fox (nee Zeer). Joe served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Joe was a jack of all trades and a master of none, he always said. His career passion was always maintenance in all forms. Very handy and always enjoyed tinkering in his garage. He had a passion for guns and if you needed one cleaned or fixed, he was your guy.

His greatest joy was spending time with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchild. He enjoyed going to all their sporting events and anything else they were involved in. Joe always opened his home to the neighborhood and their “Team Boys”. Always having snacks and sodas on the ready after school or even bringing in subs for a lunch treat! Family was so very important to him! Joe also enjoyed his Grand Dogs. Through all the tough times, he remained positive, funny and put on a smile, always making everyone around him laugh! He will truly be missed!

He was united in marriage to Gloria Rossey on August 11, 1973, and raised two Sons, that he adored. Teaching them to navigate their way around cars, machines, sports, and many, many more life lessons. Joe enjoyed hunting and spending time with his Sons during hunting season at the “40”. He was always very proud of them!

Those left to cherish Joe’s memory include his wife, Gloria; children, Jason (Carmen) Fox; Jacob (Lisa) Fox; grandchildren, Miranda (Zach) Sohrweide, Dawson Fox, Colton (Jaycie) Fox; great grandchild, Ember Sohrweide; sisters, June Polczynski, Jane (Robert) Geiger, Judy (Roger) Anderson, Jill (Robert) Neuman, Juel (Albert) Dehmlow and many, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by, his sisters, Jean Perry, Joan Campo; brother John Fox; brothers-in-law, Bernard Polczynski, DeWayne Guckenberger; niece Ginny Leibsle.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Fresenius Kidney Care-West Bend, for the many years that they took such good care of Joe. Also, to the staff at Froedtert and the Rehabilitation hospital for the care over the past few months. The family is planning a special gathering in Spring 2027 to celebrate the life of Joe.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to help with final expenses and medical bills. Memorials can be sent to Gloria Fox at P.O. Box 393, Kewaskum, WI 53040.
