Janet Jane Torkelson (Bauske), age 48 years, of West Bend was Born to Eternal Life on August 13, 2025 at Froedtert Medical Center in Wauwatosa surrounded by her loving family.
Janet was born on July 1, 1977 in West Allis to Bradley Bauske and Theresa Schwager.
Janet was united in marriage to Daniel Torkelson on October 13, 2017.
Janet graduated from Alverno College with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She was employed for 14 years at Power Sports Network providing dealer services for the power sports industry around the world. After the company moved out of state she started her own business, Master Web Creations, designing websites for businesses in Wisconsin. In her spare time, Janet enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Kayla and her husband, Dan.
Janet had a passion for cooking and started her own cooking blog called foodloveaffair.com. She also loved working in her garden and writing. She wrote several short stories and was working on three novels. Her favorite holiday was Halloween.
Those Janet leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Dan; her mother, Theresa Schwager; sister, Lisa (Brian) Arenas; brothers, William Bauske and Matthew Bauske; grandmother, Sharon Bauske; mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Torkelson; dear friends, Christina Wagner Kessler and Christopher Eldred; nieces, Breanna Schwager and Reyna Arenas; nephews, Kenneth Schwager; great-nephew, Jayd Kerr; great-niece, Nova Jean Danks; aunts, Deborah (Shawn) Baker, Elizabeth (Timothy) Wierzchowski, Candace (David) Adams, and Janie Schwager; uncle, Brian Schwager; cousins, Hank Schwager, Heather Baker, Melissa Baker, Eric Baker, Melynda Bosch, Sarah Harris, David Harris, Crystal Adams, Nikki Adams, and Shawn Adams.
Janet was preceded in death by her daughter, Kayla Bauske; father, Bradley Bauske; grandparents, David and Mary Schwager; grandfather, Vern Bauske; father-in-law, Ronald Torkelson; cousin, Archie Harris; and uncle, David Schwager.
VISITATION: Janet’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095.
SERVICE: A Memorial Service in remembrance of Janet will take place at the funeral home home on Saturday immediately following the visitiation with eulogies starting at 3:00 p.m. and prayer service starting around 4:00 p.m.
