Janet D. Kuehl (Selzer), 94, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 22, 2026 with her family by her side.
Janet was born on January 4, 1932 in Milwaukee to the late Robert and Frieda Selzer (Mueller). She was united in marriage to Marvin Kuehl on October 14, 1950 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Marvin preceded Janet in death on January 1, 2024.
Janet was a loving and supportive wife, mom, and grandma (great & great great). She gave the best hugs. She loved Jesus and that love was clear to all who met her and heard her testimony for the Lord. She read His word daily and was a prayer warrior for many. She was a homemaker and all who entered her house were treated like family. She was a talented baker, cook, seamstress, organ/piano player, and was a feisty card/game player. She enjoyed many travel adventures with her husband and family. She was the family historian and was usually found with her camera or camcorder in hand. Her legacy is the love she had for her whole family and the incredible example she was in shining Jesus’ love every day.
Those left to cherish Janet’s memory include her six children, Marvin Kuehl, Jr., Marlin Kuehl, Wesley (Mae) Kuehl, Vicki (Tim) Stopar, Jolene (Steve) Frenz and Jenni Warshiniack; her seven grandchildren, Katie (Chris) Hughes, Kami (Ed Jr.) Peters, Brett Kuehl, TJ (Mindy) Stopar, Tori (Jason) Grosenick, Lauren (Caleb) Celuch, Emily (Austin) Beck; her great-grandchildren, Treye, Kassandra, Wesley, Gabriella, Coleena, Faith, Carson, Athena, Samantha (Chris), Jason Jr. (Amber), Junior, Veronica, Michaela, Esther, Josie; and her great-great-grandchild, Taylor, Gwen, Milo and Kinsley; nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Janet is preceded in death by sister, Toni Richardson; brothers, Robert Selzer, John (Janet) Selzer, and Richard Selzer; daughter-in-law, Connie Kuehl; grandchildren, Corey Kuehl, Nathina and Ataia Ashlock and great grandchild, George Peters.
Janet’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at Calvary Bible Church (70 E. Pioneer Road, Fond du Lac, WI - 54935).
Following visitation there will be a Funeral Service for Janet at 12:00 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church, with Pastor Ken Kraemer officiating the service.
The family would like to thank the nurses and caretakers at Sharon S Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls for their compassion and loving care. They thank Pastor Ken and Mary and all of their brothers and sisters in Christ at Calvary Bible Church and Bethel Bible Church. Our thanks go out to Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home as well.
